Reidville is a small town of 495 residents situated along the Humber River directly across from the Deer Lake Regional airport and 7 kilometers from the town of Deer
Lake. The river is beautiful during all seasons of the year.
Spring arrives with beaver emerging from their winter homes. Summer bring the salmon, birds, ducks and Canada Geese. Fall displays the miracle of the winter freeze
occurring as moose and other wildlife graze along the shoreline. Winter totally transforms the waterway to a massive ice thoroughfare for winter activists -
snowmobilers, skiers and many others.
The pictures on this page give a "birds eye-view" of the the original town as it was in 2000; from Trout Brook to the Cache. However, today the Reidville boundaries extend from the Northern Peninsula Highway to Patty's Reef along the river. Much development is happening in the eastern section, between the Northern
Peninsula Highway and the original town site.
