Residents of the town have to be commended for their tremendous support of this first time event. Prizes were awarded to Darcy and Heather Major for taking 1st place, Roy and Pat Pittman for taking 2nd place and honorable mention going to Wyatt amd Ruby Goosney.

2006 - Firemen's Ball

At the Ball this year Mayor MacDonald presented the Fireman of the Year award, and a 12 years service award to a Reidville councillor. In addition the Fire Chief, Bruce Curlew introduced the unveiling of a commerative plaque that is to be erected at Sandy's Lookout. The formal dinner was followed by a dance which ended in the weee hours of the morning. A good time was had by all.

The annual Reaiville Santa Claus Parade was held on Dec. 15, 2007. This was one of the best turnout for a long time - great to see.

The 1st place winner in our 2007 Annual Christmas Sparkle Contest was Darcey & Heather Major. The 2nd place winner was David & Pat Layden. Honorable mention went to Paul & Bonnie Reid. Congratulations to our winners and our thanks to all those who decorated their homes this year. Good job !!!!

A Come Home Year is planned for Reidville during July of 2009. The sub albums in this album will contain photos of the different fundraisers, etc. that are ran throughout the next year.

Walking Trail Begining - 2007

The Reidville Economic Developement Committee is in the process of developing a walking trail in the community with funding from the provincial government. The first phase of the trail was started on Dec 10, 2007 with hiring of two people to cut the trail from Lloyd Jones to the swim beach. It is hoped that in the future more funding can be obtained to complete a walking trail from Sandy's Lookout to the Insectarium, with exits to Reidville Road along the way. This albunm will be updated with pictures as the developement of the trail proceeds.

Carl & Cliff Reid oversaw the Poker Derby ATV Run. Everyone had a good time.
